In Loving Memory of Maggie Mae Osborne June 21, 2009 - May 22, 2025
Our sweet baby girl, Maggie Mae, crossed the rainbow bridge at 16 years and 11 months old. Since 2009, she has been the heartbeat of our home-our child, my confidante, best friend, and the center of our world.
Maggie wore many hats in her long, beautiful life. She was adventurous at heart but happiest snuggled in bed, no matter how many days you needed to be there. Her peaceful presence and unconditional love were constant and unwavering.
Though toys were never really her thing, Maggie found one true love-a squishy, squeaky hot dog gifted by her Maw. She carried it proudly, and it brought us all so much joy.
Maggie had a zest for life and a strength that saw her through many illnesses. I truly believe she held on simply because she loved us that much. She even reminded us when it was time for her medicine-her intelligence never ceased to amaze me. I've never met a smarter, more intuitive soul.
We always knew this day would come, but nothing prepares you for the quiet house, the tucked-away toys, or the profound ache that follows the loss of such pure, unconditional love.
My personal idea of heaven is a field of wildflowers with a big, cozy bed, and every animal I've ever loved waiting there to greet me. At the center of that scene is my Maggie Mae, tail wagging, eyes bright. I know we'll be reunited again someday. Until then, I picture her running free, playing with her friends Bridgette, Roxanne, Miley, Willy, and so many others in that beautiful field.
To everyone who has loved Maggie through the years-thank you. Your love helped keep her with us for so long.
A special thank you to her Gammie and Maw for the round-the-clock care and endless support. Your devotion meant the world to her and to us.
We're also deeply grateful to Fayette Veterinary Hospital, Dr. Matt Faulkner and staff for their compassionate care, and to Melton's Mortuary for their kindness during this difficult time.
Run free, sweet girl. You will forever be loved and forever be missed
